50 Auditorium User Manual

50 Auditorium is a public Zoom Room enabled meeting space that is available in Google calendar to all Lab employees. It has an integrated audio/video system and in-room participants can share screens wirelessly using their laptops.

Podium

Crestron tablet - power on/off
iPad - Zoom Room controller

Audio

All microphones are docked at the podium
- (2) Gooseneck mics
- (2) Wireless Handheld mics
- (2) Lavalier mics
The room system does not allow additional mics to be added

Video

(1) 231” projector screen
(1) PTZ camera

If additional assistance is needed, enter an AV support request.

Room Instructions

Power on the Projector

Press the “Projector ON” button ONCE
Wait 10-15 seconds for it to warm up
Repeatedly pressing the ON button will cause the projector to malfunction

The source buttons are disabled, since the Crestron tablet is only used to power the projector on/off

Start Meeting from the Host Laptop

Start or Join the scheduled meeting on the host/co-host laptop
Do not join the computer audio
Click the up arrow next to mute/unmute
Leave the computer audio to avoid echo

Every laptop in 50 auditorium must leave computer audio.

Join from the Zoom Room

Join the meeting from iPad controller
Click join and enter the meeting ID
The Zoom Room is a participant in the meeting that provides audio and video.

Use wireless screen sharing to present from the laptop
For videos with audio, click “share sound”

Audio Visual Notes

Microphones

Use the red/green light to determine if mics are active
Speak into the mic to test sound quality
- Do not hit the mic with your hand
For best results, hold the mic 2 inches away from face
Battery life for the Gooseneck mics is about 12 hours
- Return mics to their charging stations
- The room system does not allow additional mics to be added
